Are you looking for something new and exciting to do after school? Do you have a hobby or career interest that you want to learn more about? Career exploration tours might be right for you!
Visit people doing the kind of work that interests you. Join your Learning Web Coordinator on tours/visits to different work environments where you meet and talk with professionals about their work. Visit a veterinarian’s office, a bakery, a biotechnology lab, a photographer’s studio, an auto body shop, and many other workplaces—the choices are as broad as your interests! Check out our list of interest areas that can be explored here!
The tours are one-time visits that usually involve a tour of the facility and a presentation from the professionals that work at the site.
Our tours give you a first hand look into a workplace. You can ask the experts questions like:
• What kind of training do I need to do something like this?
• What does a typical day at work involve?
• What’s the best or worst part of your job?
• How much money can I make in this line of work?
If you are interested in participating in a exploration tour, call us at 607-275-0122 or email us. A Learning Web Coordinator will contact you to set up a time to meet and talk about what you are interested in checking out.
